Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, SH., LL.M., Ph.D
Rector of Jenderal Achmad Yani University

Hikmahanto Juwana is an Indonesian legal academic. He is a Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia. Since 2020, he has served as Rector of Jenderal Achmad Yani University. He was also an expert staff member for the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Kwik Kian Gie. Hikmahanto was inaugurated as a professor in the field of international law at FHUI at the age of 36 in 2002. He is also the youngest professor in the history of FHUI or even in Indonesia to obtain this title at the age of under 40 years.

Hikmahanto is one of the founders of the Indonesia Society of International Law (ISIL) and co-sponsored the implementation of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition in Indonesia. In 2021, he was elected President of the Asian Society of International Law (ASIL).

Andi Widjajanto, Ph.D
Governor of Lemhannas RI

Andi Widjajanto is the Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas). The focus of his studies is defense, international relations, and cyber security.
He served as Cabinet Secretary during the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla administration (2014-2015) and Senior Advisor to the Head of the Presidency (2016-2022).
His academic experiences include studying international relations and defense studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), National Defense University in Washington D.C., and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) in Singapore.

Srabani Roy Choudhury is a Professor in Japanese Studies, Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She received her Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prior to joining Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2007, she was a faculty in International Management Institute. She has been recipient of Japan Foundation fellowship, visiting scholar programme to Keizai Koho Centre, Ministry of Economics and Industry, Japan, Policy Research Institute, Ministry of Finance, Japan, a visiting fellow at Research Institute for Economic & Business Administration, Kobe University and Graduate School of Development Studies, Nagoya University. Her research interest lies in the area of Japanese investment in India and enjoys micro –level firm studies. Her recent publications are centered on Japan- India economic relations and Japanese Multinationals experiences in India, their entry strategies and their survival techniques.

Prof. Donald K. Emmerson
Stanford University

At Stanford, in addition to his work for the Southeast Asia Program and his affiliations with CDDRL and the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies, Donald Emmerson has taught courses on Southeast Asia in East Asian Studies, International Policy Studies, and Political Science. He is active as an analyst of current policy issues involving Asia. In 2010 the National Bureau of Asian Research and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars awarded him a two-year Research Associateship given to “top scholars from across the United States” who “have successfully bridged the gap between the academy and policy.” Emmerson’s research interests include Southeast Asia-China-US relations, the South China Sea, and the future of ASEAN. His publications, authored or edited, span more than a dozen books and monographs and some 200 articles, chapters, and shorter pieces.

Dr. Suh Jiwon
Seoul National University

Suh Jiwon is an Associate Professor in College of Humanities Seoul National University. Her research interests include transitional justice, politics of memory, refugees, human rights diplomacy, and decolonization, with a focus on Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia.

Wike Novelia, Ph.D
Monash University

An interdisciplinary social scientist working in the fields of environmental governance and institutional change. She
also had professional engineering and research experience in the water industry across Indonesia, Thailand, Laos,
the Netherlands, and Australia. Her research investigates the interplay of environment, technology, and society in
the context of improving processes of urban & infrastructure planning, governance, and community participation
for realising sustainable development outcomes. She has been involved in interdisciplinary partnerships between
Indonesia and Australia in delivering a large urban water research program in Jakarta and Bogor and in developing
an action research program in Citarum catchment. She is the chief investigator of an Asia-Pacific Network for
Global Change Research funded research, aiming to enhance local capacity for leapfrogging Citarum communities
towards better environmental and health outcomes.

//CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Authors are requested to submit an abstract to the Organizing Committee by 20 october 2022. The abstract must contain the following section: introduction, aim of the study, method, results, conclusion, and keywords. The abstract must have no longer than 200 words.

The submitted abstracts will be selected for presentation. The manuscripts (full papers) should be submitted only after the abstracts are accepted. The paper must be submitted before 20 November 2022. Please go to “Submission System” menu then “Login” to submit the full paper. The papers should be written in English and must be between 4 to 6 pages.
